Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is one of the most common reasons electro-medical devices fail certification testing. Many of these failures can be predicted much earlier.
Pre-compliance testing gives you an indication of how your device will behave before you book formal accredited testing. It highlights emissions or immunity problems while the design is still flexible.
Fixes at the prototype stage might be a better cable layout, filtering or a revised enclosure. The same fix after tooling is complete can mean weeks of delay and significant cost.
Plan at least one pre-compliance round into your development timeline, and treat the report as a design input rather than a pass/fail verdict.
